Spend Wise operates completely on your local device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal financial data — transactions, budgets, accounts, or receipts — to any external servers.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the Spend Wise mobile application developed by Vertex Apps. Spend Wise is designed as a privacy-first expense and income tracking utility, helping you log transactions, manage budgets, and monitor your spending habits. Your trust is paramount to us, and our policy is simple: your financial data belongs exclusively to you.
2. Information Collection and Storage
Spend Wise is built to function fully offline:
- Transactions & Entries: All income and expense entries, amounts, dates, and notes are saved strictly in your device's local internal storage.
- Categories, Budgets & Accounts: Custom categories, budget limits, and account/wallet configurations are stored locally on-device only.
- Receipt Photos: If you attach a photo of a receipt to a transaction, the image is saved directly on your device. Images are never uploaded anywhere.
- Reminders & Alerts: Budget alerts and bill reminders use Android's native system alarms and notifications locally.
- No Cloud Storage: We do not operate cloud databases, user account servers, or analytics trackers that collect your financial content.
3. App Permissions
To provide its features, Spend Wise may request the following permissions on your Android device:
Required only if you choose to attach a photo of a receipt to a transaction. Photos never leave your device.
Required to fire budget alerts and scheduled bill/payment reminders.
Required only when you manually export or import your data (e.g. as a CSV backup file) to or from your device's storage.
4. Third-Party Services
Because Spend Wise operates offline and does not integrate third-party analytics SDKs or advertising frameworks that harvest user data, no data is shared with third parties.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Since all data resides on your physical device, you retain full control:
- You can edit or delete any transaction, category, budget, or receipt photo directly inside the app at any time.
- Any CSV backup files you choose to export are stored wherever you save them and are managed entirely by you.
- Clearing the app data via Android Settings or uninstalling the app will permanently delete all stored financial records and receipt photos from your device.
